Chiguer art contemporain is pleased to participate in the 20th edition of the Nuit des galeries with The Incandescence of the Night, an exhibition that explores the night as both a backdrop and a space for transformation. Time seems to slow down, sometimes even to stand still, as other rhythms and presences emerge. Between rest and activity, contemplation and unease, the night transforms our perception of the world and opens a space for the imagination.
Animals reclaim territories left behind by humans, living forms seem to awaken, nature continues its work, and what disappears into the darkness sometimes allows something else to emerge. Amélie Proulx invites us to Saisir l’incandescence de la nuit, while Cooke-Sasseville brings the animal world into unexpected places, and the icy landscapes of Martin Bureau bear the traces of a changing natural world. The works of Alissa Bilodeau, Cynthia Dinan-Mitchell, Shazia Ahmad, Shuvinai Ashoona, Rafael Sottolichio, Mathieu Valade, and François Morelli open other passages between reality and imagination, presence and disappearance.
