Padloo Samayualie (born in 1977 in Kinngait, Nunavut) is an Inuit artist whose practice focuses primarily on drawing. Coming from a family of established artists, she developed her interest in drawing after attending a workshop in Banff in 2001. She also studied jewellery making at Nunavut Arctic College.
Her work is distinguished by precise lines, a refined sense of colour, and close attention to the details of everyday life. Drawing inspiration from her surroundings, personal memories, and photographs, she depicts Arctic landscapes, architecture, domestic objects, and the transformations of contemporary life in the North.
In 2016, she participated in an artist residency at the Brooklyn Museum in New York. Her work has been exhibited in Canada and internationally, including at the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal as part of the exhibition Mondes graphiques (2025–2026).
